Shayla vs. The World

Exciting things. This time coming back I brought a friend. Mallory decided to join me on my trip for a couple weeks before she started up classes again. We did the typical touristy things, and frequented the beach often. I'm not going to say much. Mostly pictures. All that luggage (2 suitcases and the box are mine) Goodbye Iowa! Gotta hit up the candy store "Didn't your mother ever teach you not to play with your food?"  Our stay at LAX was horrible. There wasn't any information on the screens for our flight. So after asking we were directed to a different terminal. So we exited and went to the terminal we were directed to (3 or something like that). Got there, only to be told that we needed to be at a DIFFERENT terminal. So we walked there, stood in line at security, tried at 3 different points to get duty free alcohol before having to spend WAY more money on it in Sydney, only to be told that we can't. New years was pretty chill for me. My roommates and I (who had all known each other for a total of a day now since we all had just moved in) ended up having a party in our apartment due to the awesome view... That glowing spot is fireworks from the Harbour Bridge :) A closer view. The view was unreal Pink spot = Bridge Sorry for the lack of focus. I was watching them myself while just holding my camera and snapping pictures. It looks like the Bridge is on fire. The fireworks last a little over 10 minutes. I didn't last much longer after that as I was still jet lagged from arriving in Sydney only 2 days earlier. I can honestly say I will remember this for a very long time though. Here's to a new year :)
