Knee Deep in The Water Somewhere
Yes, the name of this did have to be very cliche.
Before I go into the beach there's something I would like to rant about quickly. Outside my room window is a courtyard...
Yes I did do some swimming. The water was a little cold for my taste but I got over it pretty quickly.
Today (Sunday) I headed to the Rock Climbing Gym. I've been pretty excited to check this one out. It was pretty awesome. I also discovered I have a long way to go before I can really consider myself a true rock climber.
Since I came alone and didn't have anyone to belay for me I just did some bouldering (which honestly I need to work on anyway).

I believe I posted this picture on my first day here post.
Now I grew up in a small town, which is quiet. Even worse is we live on the edge of town which is even more quiet. Then I went off to Iowa State. Ames, Iowa, being a college town, does have some more noise at night but where I was living it still really wasn't that bad. Mostly I'm enjoying the noise of this city. And honestly, once 10pm hits there's really not even that much noise. This courtyard echos like crazy. You don't have to be talking/making noise very loud for me to be able to hear what is going on like I was standing right next to you. This normally doesn't bother me at all. Unless, as you may see in the bottom right corner of the picture, someone is skateboarding or rolling something across that wooden walkway. That may drive me insane. It is VERY loud (someone just started across it right now on their skateboard, just my luck). And when it started at 5 am this morning I was not a happy camper. I guess I'm just used to living in a small town where there's not much noise. This is one of the changes I'm going to have to get used to.
Also confusing, to turn on the lights here you push the switch down, not up.
So finally, since everyone keeps asking about the beach, here it is. Coogee Beach (the closest my apartment)
Wouldn't you just love to live up there?

Yeah, this one is pretty sweet.

Laying on the ground trying to find the strength to climb this (I did not succeed)
The ultimate goal?
What did I learn during this rock climbing experience? The amount of upper body strength that I lack is even worse than I thought :(
I'm pretty badly missing the Harley right now. I see bikes everywhere and the weather is so perfect for it :( I'm not sure if I'm going to make it until July.
Well Tata for now. I'm not sure what I'm doing this week, but I might be heading to Canberra next weekend. We'll see.
